The Desbien Family

Monument, CO- I met the Desbien family for the first time when I went out to her mom property in Monument for this shoot and I am so glad I did! Hayley is a good friend of a good friend of mine (did you follow that?) and so it was nice to spend time with such a great family and get to know them better. They now live in Texas so we'll have to wait till they come back for a visit to see them again. Thanks for spending an afternoon with me Doug, Hayley and kiddos.

She'll always be the big sister looking after her little brother.

I love this photo of Hayley and her mom... they are so sweet together! It makes me miss my mom.

Um, are you kidding me? How cute is he!

I LOVE this photo! It's such a perfect example of what happens to kids in the late afternoon! They get pooped. Love it!

Thanks again guys! I hope you had a safe trip home and I look forward to seeing you again sometime soon! :)

Family shoot preview

This week has been crazy with 5 photo shoots and a wedding happening next weekend... so, I'm heading off to make myself a cup of coffee and relax. Here's a photo from this evenings shoot I did was a awesome family from Texas. If this doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will!! I love these kiddos! I'll post more tomorrow. Have a great night!

Shannon - Head Shots

Shannon is the owner of Summit Nutrition in Denver. She's super sweet and I am thankful to have met her and have had the opportunity to do some head shots for her new website soon to be up in August. We had a plan to head outside and have some fun, but alas it rained AGAIN! Does it always rain every afternoon during the summer here? Geesh! So, we shot inside and she'll be back in July to do more... this time without the rain!

The Wall Family

This family is so near and dear to my heart. They are some of our closest friends here in town and I am so excited to share their cute family with you.

I know, I know... they win the cutest family of the year award. How stinkin' cool is it that the boys have dad's spiky hair?

Thank you Nick (and Holly!) for laying in the wet grass for this one... I'm so mean to my friends. =)

Meeeeeow!

Nick, Holly and the boys... I don't know to say that I haven't already told you in person. God has blessed us with your friendship and I'm so thankful our kids can grow up together. What an answer to prayer! Looking forward to many, many more years together; our basket #1 friends.

Rob + Chelley

Colorado Springs, CO - I knew once I met this couple we'd be fast friends. First off, Rob's a CPA here in town. So is my husband. Then there's Chelley who has fantastic style and a contagious smile... oh, and she has connections at the world's best coffee house. So, it's fate. We took a little trip over to the Hillside Gardens to shoot these; it also happens to be the place they will be getting married in September. If you have yet to go there, go! It's an awesome place with a ton of yummy smelling flowers and also live music on Wednesday nights during the summer. Sweet! Thanks Rob and Chelley for introducing me to the place. You guys are an awesome couple that I look forward to getting to know better in the next couple of months.

I'm only sharing a few of these since they have yet to see the prints! Don't want to spoil the surprise! :)

This is one of my favorite photos... her smile is so genuine.

Mr. & Mrs. Benner

Manitou Springs, CO - What an amazing day with an amazing couple. It's weddings like these that remind me what a great job I have! Jessica and Josh are so in love and have a fantastic sense of humor. I know I'm having a good time when I'm laughing too hard to click the shutter button on my camera. They got married (like I mentioned below) at the Craftwood Inn and Kerri, their Wedding Coordinator from Craftwood did an amazing job covering all the small and large details! Also a shout out to Ray Valdez from Personal Touch DJ's who was so friendly and kept the party going! And shall I mention that there were some awesome dancers at this wedding! Wedding guests that are able to pull off the "Thriller" dance are A+ in my book!

I owe a big thank you to the bridal party for putting up with me asking them to do funky poses, trample in the dirt and stand in the hot, bright sun. You guys rock. =)

Jessica and Josh, you have an amazing group of friends and an outstanding family that loves you very much. It was evident at your wedding. Thank you for asking me to be part of your day. I wouldn't have wanted to spend that Saturday any other way. Josh, I'll be praying for you while you're in Iraq. I'm so thankful for your sacrifice. Jessica, you seem like such a strong woman and you have so many people around to support you, but if you ever need anything, I'm just a call away.

Here's some more shots from the past weekend that I've finally finished editing. Forgive me now for the long post; there were just too many I liked to narrow them down. :)

Quick sneak peek

I had a great weekend with a wedding at the Craftwood Inn located in Manitou Springs. I was a little worried about the weather at the beginning of the week, but by Saturday there wasn't a cloud in the sky! I guess the old saying here does ring true; if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes.

I haven't finished editing their final photos yet so I'll only post a few for now. I know, I'm so behind on my blogging!

This was also the first weekend I had my new assistant, Edi there by my side. She was fantastic and I am so blessed to have her on my team! Check back later on in the week for the other photos and details of the day.

Michalski Family

Colorado Springs, CO - My husband and I met the Michalski's a month or so after we moved to Colorado Springs, and they have been such a huge part of our family feeling "at home" here in Colorado. They have opened up their hearts and welcomed us in; introducing us to their friends and calling us their "friends". We couldn't be more thankful to have a family like the Michalski's in our life.

Sara and Nick, not only have you made an impact on our life, you continue to do it daily for others as well. Matthew 5:14 comes to mind when I think of you: "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden." You are an amazing couple, fantastic parents and a blessing in our life as our friends. Thank you for having me shoot your family photos!

Here are some of my favorites from the day.
