Jeremy & Julie - Wedding

Black Forest, CO -- You'll remember this couple from here. This past Saturday they were married at The Pinery in Black Forest, Colorado! I know I say this after every wedding (because it's really true) but I love my job. Julie and Jeremy are amazing people because of their faith as well as the wonderful friends and family that support and love them. They are so in love and I felt honored to be able to be there to document their day. I have so many favorites from the weekend, so this is going to be a long post. But it's worth it. :) I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking them. :)

Getting ready...

She had an amazing dress!!

Um... love the shoes!

Due to the time of their ceremony and the lack of light afterward, they opted to see one another before the wedding. Here's Jeremy about to see his bride for the very first time.

She was stunning!

He thought so too. :)

just a reminder...

Just a reminder... I still have a few spots open for photo shoots during the week of the 23rd-28th! I've had a few families sign up; thank you for your support! As posted below, all my proceeds for the week will go to help this family build a playground in memory of their daughter. Please help me help them!

And really, above all else, please keep their family in prayer.

MHP awarded "2009 Bride's Choice Award" by WeddingWire!

WeddingWire has just announced the winners for their 2009 Bride's Choice Awards and Megan Hardre Photography was a winner for wedding photography!

"The Bride's Choice Awards recognizes vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride's Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds (brides and grooms) through surveys and reviews."

A BIG thanks to my awesome clients for your continual support and for helping me win the 2009 Bride's Choice Award! You rock! :)

partner with me to help them

The last week or so I have been thinking of this family and on Sunday their little girl when home to be with the Lord. My heart aches because my son is just a little older than Cora... and I just can't imagine.

Her parents want to build a playground in memory of her and I want to partner with you to help them get it done!

The last week in February my schedule is wide open and I want to fill it with shoots. For $125 I will do your photo shoot (engagements, family, babies, newborn, maternity... whatever!) and all the proceeds will go directly to this family. For you, that will include a full set of 4x6 prints, a CD with all the edited photos as well as the copyright to the photos.

If you've been wanting to do a shoot, but haven't... now is the time. It goes to something good. :)

Send me an email megan@meganhardrephotography.com (the sooner, the better) if you want to set up a time the last week in February to get 'em done. :)

Aubrey+Kurt=Married

San Diego, California - This past Friday I flew out to San Diego to photograph my first wedding of 2009! It was an amazing weekend spent with wonderful people and equally wonderful weather. But really, it was all about Aubrey and Kurt. I met them almost a year ago while Aubrey worked for a local bank. I did their engagement photos that March and May and then they decided they wanted to fly me to California for their wedding (yay!) and since that point, they have become such good friends of ours and we felt so blessed to be a part of their special day. Saturday we started really early with Aubrey getting her hair and make up done while the guys had breakfast and got ready at a separate location. This morning we woke up at 5am (ouch!) to head to the beach to catch the sunrise. I was looking forward to this part of the weekend for so long! Let me tell you, it was well worth getting up at 5pm to catch the amazing sunrise and fog coming across the pacific ocean.

So without further ado, here's just some of my favorites. I edited a few on the flight home so I might as well share them with you! =)

Soon to be Mrs. Brown. :)

Meanwhile, the guys were getting ready...

These guys have known one another for a loooong time. They have some great stories. :)

This was such a great moment between mother and son. She was singing him the words to the song they were dancing to. There wasn't a dry eye in the room.

The groom got some air on this one!

There was some great dancing. :)

Then.... this morning we took these on the beach. This was a Mess the Dress session and it was so much fun.
